The title I love. Its from the Michele Fifer movie with Bruce Willis. I absolutely love that movie.
Well our story. I guess it began in Long Beach. I was living with my then boyfriend Jeff. We both had separae friends. Jeff was oh how should I put it......THE WORST FUCKING BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD. lol. Seriously he was. I was from Orange County, I moved to the hell hole Long Beach to be with Jeff. After about a year and a half, I was at work one day and checked my email, Jeff had broken up with me. Yes.....by email, and yes......I still lived with him, lol.
So my friends at the time were taking me out in Laguna and L.A. all the time to get me out, and because my best revenge for the X I was still sharing a bed with (no sex) was to go out and have fun.
I started hanging out with my one friend Gary in Newport Beach all the time. And after a few weeks our friendship turned into a somewhat serious relationship......or so I thought. I knew that Gary was seeing boys on the side. And I guess I didn't care. Gary swept me away. He was about 10 years older than myself, he was rich, had a boat, a porsche and a beautiful house overlooking the harbour in Newport Beach. But most of all, we had fun. He made me laugh, he made me feel special. We hung out with his friends, who mostly annoyed me because they were all trust fund boys that thought they were all very much above your average person. Especially Philipe, pronounced fill-leep, (yes I was instructed on that one). Fill-leeps family owned all the Thai restaurants in So-Cal and Thai Airlines.
Although the times I knew he could not spend with me, because he was spending those times with other boys, it upset me, but I thought in time he would give up that life and settle down with me. LOL I was such a fool.
One day he had me over to "talk". It was typical, I thought nothing of it because we had drinks, and made love. Then he sat me down in the living room and told me he didnt think it was a good idea that we see each other anymore. He said he was seeing someone now. Well, needless to say I was devastated. I ran from the house crying just running to my car. It was a scene from a movie, Im not even kidding lol. Very dramatic on my part lol.
Well I wouldn't answer his calls after that. I went back to partying 5 or 6 nights a week.
About a month or two later on a Thursday I had just gotten back to work from picking some pictures up from the developer that I had no clue what they were, I just found the roll I had and decided I should see what it was. So sitting at my desk back at work, I was looking at the picture and low and behold, I just wasted 20 bucks because the pictures were all of Gary and myself. Thank god for digital cameras now ladies, we can just delete our mistakes without having to pay even more.
Well the next day low and behold, I get a phonecall at work. It was Gary. Yes, its all very peculiar. I talked to him as I had grown since my experience with him, I had fun, I had seen other men........essentially I was holding onto my bitterness like a prize and I wanted to show it off. So Gary was on the phone and just as quickly as I had answered his one single question about how I was doing, he changed the subject to himself. Very typical of the prick indeed. He was telling me how happy he was, he found "The One" and he was in love. He could see himself marrying him and having children bla bla bla. So I got off the phone as quick as I could without letting him hear how much it all affected me.
I quickly went and got my co-worker and told he we were going out for drinks because I needed them and I needed to get out and get my mind off of the troll that had just called. So I put the pictures through the shredder, grabbed my Prada bag and we went to Woody's. My straight girlfriend from work had never been there, and she clearly had never had a gay cocktail. After about our 4th, we were trashed. So we headed over to the Boom Boom Room to go see the strippers. So we hauled our drunk asses a block down the street, rushed in the door as soon as we say the naked men and started putting money down the g-strings while we ordered a drink. It was then that I was tapped on my shoulder and I turned around to see the most beautiful guy I had ever seen. Blond hair, blue eyes, ripped body, beautiful smile, and he said to me "can I put money down your pants?" Being as drunk as I was, and as beautiful as he was, I was more than willing for him to put more down my pants than money. Well, I wont go into detail about the rest of the night at the club, but lets just say there was a lot of grabbing, kissing, grinding etc.
At the end of the night when it was time to go home, phone numbers had been exchanged etc. I had to wake my girlfriend from work up. She fell asleep at a table upstairs and was being mauled by a bunch of dykes. None of us were in shape to drive, but hey, we did anyway.
So that is where my relationship with my now fiance started. I was 27, Curtis was 30. We were with each other every day BUT we did not have sex at all until about a month into our relationship. Yes, we waited. lol.
It was during this time when I was at Curtis house one day I got a phone call from Fill-leep. I guess he had seen me out the night before. Although I had not seen him. He also went on to tell me he had seen me in a bunch of other random places, as had some of the other trust fund boys in Gary's entourage. Well then I got a phone call from Gary, out of the blue. He had told me he wanted to meet up with me to talk. After much much laughter I refussed and hung up. It was at that point I shared that story with Curtis. This was the weirdest, freakiest thing EVER. Esentially we figured out that Curtis, was the one that Gary had left me for. Apparently Gary put more stock into their 3 meetings than Curtis did. Hell, they never even had sex lol.
Ok, so do I need to point out the obvious? I ended up with the guy that Gary dumped me for, AND NEITHER OF US KNEW IT. Gary did, as I learned later he had hired a private investigator to follow me to keep tabs on me. LOL. Dumb rich boys and their parents money.
So there ya have it. My horrible not so untragic dump story that ended up with karma beating my ex's ass.
Since then I have seen Gary. He has pulled me aside and offered to take me around the world, buy me a house etc. My one line I always give him is ....
I don't make mistakes twice.
